What is keyword combining?

Keyword combining (or “mixing”) takes two or three lists and produces every combination of their items — a Cartesian product. Give it your list of services and a list of suburbs and you instantly get every service + location phrase, formatted exactly how you want with a pattern.

Building out a keyword map of every relevant combination helps you plan location landing pages, structure service-area content and seed PPC ad groups without missing an obvious variation. How to use this tool

1. Paste your items into List A and List B — one per line. Use List C for an optional third dimension (modifiers, intent words).
2. Set the pattern to control order and wording. {A} {B} gives “seo services Auckland”; {B} {A} flips it; {A} in {B} adds a static word.
3. Empty lists are skipped automatically — leave List C blank for simple two-way mixes.
4. Toggle lowercase, de-duplicate, sort or quotes, and pick a separator for the output.
5. Watch the live count, then hit Copy to paste into a spreadsheet, keyword planner or your PPC platform.

A word of caution: combinations are a starting point, not a finished strategy. Filter the list for real search intent and search volume, and only build pages you can make genuinely useful. Spinning up hundreds of near-identical “thin” doorway pages is against Google’s guidelines and can hurt your rankings.
