What is JSON-LD structured data?
Structured data is a standardised format that describes your page’s content to search engines. JSON-LD (JavaScript Object Notation for Linked Data) is Google’s recommended way to add it — a small script block that spells out exactly what a page is about using the shared schema.org vocabulary.
How rich results work
When search engines understand your markup, they can show enhanced “rich results” — star ratings, FAQ accordions, breadcrumb trails, article bylines and business info panels. These richer listings stand out in the SERPs and can improve click-through rates.
How to add the snippet
Copy the generated snippet using the Copy with <script> tag button, then paste it into the <head> section of the relevant page (the body works too). One JSON-LD block per entity type is fine, and you can add several blocks to a single page.
Always test before you ship
Validate your markup with Google’s Rich Results Test and the Schema.org Validator. They confirm the syntax is valid and show which rich result types your page is eligible for.
